ZATCA Reminds Establishments of Withholding Tax Deadline for July 2024

The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) is reminding establishments in Saudi Arabia that are subject to withholding tax to submit their tax forms for July 2024 by August 11, 2024.

To avoid penalties, ZATCA urges these establishments to submit their withholding tax forms promptly via its website (zatca.gov.sa). Late submissions will incur a penalty of 1% of the unpaid tax for every 30 days past the due date.

For more information on withholding tax, businesses can reach out to ZATCA through the 24/7 unified call center at 19993, the “Ask ZATCA” account on X (@Zatca_Care), by email at info@zatca.gov.sa, or through live chat on the ZATCA website (zatca.gov.sa).

Withholding tax applies to all payments made from a source within the Kingdom to non-resident entities without a permanent establishment in Saudi Arabia. The applicable rates are outlined in Article 68 of the Income Tax Law and Article 63 of its Implementing Regulations.
